RMG is so proud to announce that Gospel singer Cassietta George will be inducted into the prestigious Memphis Music Hall of Fame for her musical contributions. George will be sharing the spotlight with other inductees including Singer-songwriter Roy Orbison, Earth, Wind & Fire co-founder Maurice White and the prolific Memphis Horns duo of Andrew Love and Wayne Jackson, “Cowboy” Jack Clement, Beale Street Music Festival founder Irvin Salky; and Frank Stokes, known as the father of Memphis guitar blues.
RMG is honored to include many of George’s songs in our catalog which features a plethora of Gospel tracks and published materials spanning many decades.
John Stea, a singer/songwriter living in Texas has received The Meritorious Service Medal (Second Oak Leaf Cluster) for his outstanding achievements and contributions within the field of Aerospace Medicine.
Stea is an accomplished Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force working in the field of Medicine and has been writing and performing music throughout his career. RMG has been privileged to call John Stea a writer of many titles within our catalog.
We’re very proud of John (and the Stea Family) and hope that he can continue to provide our country with such wonderful service of his time and talents.
The song “Morse Code of Love” (performed by The Capris) has been secured by the production team behind the Australian documentary entitled “Keeping It Alive” which celebrates the life and passion of a small group of elderly Australian ex-telegraphists and morse code operators (aged in their 80’s) who are dedicated to preserving the history of morse code and educating the current generation about its impact and importance.
We’re very excited about this placement and will be looking forward to viewing the documentary in the coming months.
RMG is proud to be the new home of the Lurch Music catalog featuring many hits performed by Burch Ray whom was recently inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame. Ray’s career included performances alongside artists such as Buddy Holly and the Crickets, Chubby Checker, Dickey Lee, Buddy Knox, a tour with The Angels and some shows with The Everly Brothers and The Beach Boys. Ray also became notable for his bagpipe performances which gained him acclaim through many well-known Scottish and Irish performances.
The Lurch catalog includes publishing and master rights to dozens of songs spanning the 60’s and 70’s.
